Help us transform the New Eagle 1st Grade Hallway into a Rainforest!
First Grade Rainforest Day at New Eagle is Friday, March 15th from 9:00-11:00am. For this fun, educational event, the first-grade hallways will be transformed into a rainforest habitat, where the kids will hang their animals. All first-grade parents are welcome to attend to see the transformation!
The children will need your help at school to create their life-sized Rainforest animal to hang in the decorated hallways, using materials from home. We hope for every child to have a parent attend to help. Teachers will be sending more information about the Rainforest Day project home with students.
On Monday and Tuesday, March 11th and 12th we will need volunteer help decorating the hallways (hanging painted paper layers, twisting vines, creating trees, taping up leaves, etc.). This is a BIG job, therefore we are going to need a LOT of volunteers! Please see the sign-up sheet for shifts available. If you aren’t able to volunteer for a set-up shift, you can also help by signing up to cut out leaves at home. (Materials and directions will be provided, and leaves will be due by Friday, March 8).
