Open Positions for 2022-2023
The following is the list of positions we are hoping to fill immediately. Once you have read the descriptions, please submit a Volunteer Interest Form to let us know what you would like to be considered for! Be sure to review the volunteer requirements & clearances page prior to submitting a Volunteer Interest Form.
Please don’t be shy – come join us in the fun! If multiple people express interest in specific positions, we will fill the role through a PTO Board election process.
Open Board Positions:
CO-VP of Fundraising: This CO-VP will support and oversee fundraising activities and committees such as: Book Fair, Trunk or Treat, Pizza Bingo, Spirit Wear sales, the Parent Social auction and party, the School Store and New Eagle Nights Out. This position works in conjunction with another Fundraising Board member to meet the fundraising goals throughout the school year.
Open Chair Positions:
Arch Representative: This volunteer will attend district ARCH (Area Residence Caring and Helping) meetings and report related information to the PTO. ARCH is a local organization that provides opportunities to be educated about alcohol, tobacco and other drug issues that affect the youth in our community.
FLITE Representative: This volunteer is the liaison between the PTO and FLITE (Foundation for Learning in Tredyffrin/Easttown). The primary role of this representative is to act as the contact for the organization to ensure certain information is included in the PTO blast or newsletter.
Parent Social Co-Chairs: (2 people needed) This committee is responsible for planning and running the social for the New Eagle parent community. The social takes place in mid-late February. Committee members help organize the event.
Other Open Positions
School Supply Packs: This committee is responsible for the organization, sale and distribution of school supply packs made available to parents for ordering in the spring and placed in the classrooms of the first day of school for students. The chairs will select the vendor and work with the teachers to order the appropriate school supplies for each grade. Time commitment is high primarily during the early spring months. A good bit of time spent during the spring months gathering supply lists, obtaining quotes, distributing order forms and submitting orders. Volunteers are also needed one day in late August (prior to the start of school) to help distribute the packs.
Trunk or Treat Co-Chairs: (2 people needed): This committee is responsible for organizing the annual Trunk of Treat held at the school on a Saturday afternoon close to Halloween. Responsibilities include finding sponsors for candy and donations, soliciting parent/family decorated trunks, communicating the event and organizing sign-up for attendees. This is a big fundraiser for the school.
