Looking for a great opportunity to support New Eagle and your community all in one? Our Garden Committee and New Eagle students have worked hard all year tending to the Giving Garden at New Eagle, but we will need summer help to keep our efforts going!
The students have planted the summer crops and we are in need of families to tend the garden, harvest the vegetables, and drop them off at the food bank over summer break. Once or twice a week, on any day and at any time that is most convenient, families will gather the fresh vegetables and deliver them to the Great Valley Food Cupboard (only 1.5 miles away at 945 N. Valley Forge Road). The students LOVE working in the garden and watching their efforts flourish!
Garden Committee members are available for support and to answer any questions, plus an email with instructions will be sent to you before your visit. The garden is equipped with a dripline irrigation system, run by a timer, so no watering is necessary. Additionally, the beds are mulched with salt hay which helps keep weeds to a minimum.
Use the Sign Up Sheet to choose a week (or weeks!) that you and your family can help!

Many thanks to those of you who have kept this garden going year after year!
