Earth Fest has been rescheduled for Tuesday, June 11 and we have a limited number of volunteer spots for parents wishing to attend and assist with the event!
Earth Fest is an all-day event at the school run by the Garden Committee. It is held outdoors, on the blacktop next to the garden as well as in the garden. Each classroom at New Eagle has been assigned a shift to get outside and explore this fun event.
Tables will be set up on the blacktop featuring presentations by committee members on composting, pollution/decomposition, and a scavenger hunt. Additionally, students will spend time in the garden with our contact from the Chester County Food Bank, harvesting the spring crops and planting out the summer seedlings! Parent volunteers will move from station to station with the classrooms, lending a hand as students explore and learn.
Please see the sign-up sheet to volunteer during your child’s shift at EarthFest! Only three parents per classroom are permitted due to space, so sign up quickly!
